It is our mission to be the premier aviation services provider in the Upper Midwest by being perceived as a valued problem solver within our industry.

In 1990, Bob Simmers started out on the foundation that we can provide services that no one else could provide, and then do it in a way that is consistent and fair to all customers.

Sharing the same vision and passion for North Dakota aviation, Bob later partnered with Mike Aarestad to expand the operations and be able to better serve the growing needs of the aviation community. Then in November 2013, Mandan Aero Center opened to pick up the maintenance operations at the Mandan Municipal Airport with Mike Aarestad leading the effort as the Director of Maintenance. In the summer of 2015, Mike and Mandan Aero Center made the most recent move into two brand new hangars on the Mandan Airport.

In May 2019, Mike retired from aviation and Howard Burns took over the Director of Maintenance (DOM) and Mark McCann was promoted to Sr. A&P Technician. Both have been recognized as previous ND Technician of the Year and are ready to serve the always growing aviation community at the Mandan Airport.
